Wedding Party

Bridesmaids

Michaela Hubbard- Sister of the bride.  Michaela lives in Elm Creek and has a son, Jaxyn who is 2 years old.  Michaela and I have had the typical sister/sister relationship!  As we get older we definitely cherish each other more and more everyday and have become best friends!  I am excited she will be helping us celebrate our big day as a bridesmaid in our wedding! Thank you Michaela, I love you very much!

Whitney Hubbard- Sister of the bride.  Whitney is a junior in high school.  She is very athletic and very smart.  When she was younger she always tried to be my “mini-me”.  I am not sure she still wants to be my “mini-me” but she is my little sister, my best friend, and a bridesmaid in our wedding!  Thank you Whitney, I love you very much!

Tara Kral- Sister of the groom.  Tara is 24 years old and recently graduated from UNMC and is a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital.  Tara and I have always been friends from the day we met.  I am very lucky to be gaining a sister-in-law that I already get along with so well!  Thank you for being part of our wedding!  I love you already like a sister!

Casey Hemmingsen- Friend of the couple.  Casey has been my best friend since the 4th grade.  We were cheerleaders together and both attended UNK.  Casey is currently working on her Masters Degree in Aviation.  Casey is more like a sister than a best friend.  She has always been there for me and for us as a couple.  One of our favorite pastimes in the summer is tanking down the river!  I love you to the moon and back!  Thank you for being in our wedding!  It wouldn’t be the same without you!

Holly Davenport- Friend of the couple.  Holly has been my best friend since the 2th grade.  In good times and bad, she has always been there for me, as I have for her.  Holly is also like a sister to me, life would not be the same without you!  You have the best personality and if you ever need a laugh you can always count on Holly!  We also cruise down the river together in the tank!  Sometimes we get caught up in a tree and sometimes we surf down the Platte on broken garage doors!  You are going to add a huge spark to our day, thank you so much for being a part of it! I love you!!

Amanda Harvey- Friend of the couple.  Last but definitely not least is Amanda Harvey.  Amanda and I became friends in college.  Once we met we were inseparable.   You have always been that person that I can talk to about anything, and I mean anything.  I love you and your family so much!! Paetyn and Avery are such beautiful little girls and I cannot wait to help you plan their big day!  Thank you in advance for helping me with ummmm-EVERYTHING!  You are so creative and you know I will need your help with planning this wedding! Thank you for being a part of our wedding!  I love you!!

Flower Girl
To Be Announced

Ring Bearer
Jaxyn Myers-  my 2 year old nephew.  I love him to death!  Actually I think I love him more than that!  He has quite the personality for a two year old.  He loves loves loves John Deere tractors (just like uncle Jared), the Grinch, and the newest- boxing, specifically ROCKEY!  He also likes to snuggle with uncle Jared to make his favorite aunt Ashley mad.  He is quite the tease!  I can’t wait to see what he comes up with walking down the aisle.  For example the slow motion run?  I guess we will all have to wait and see!  I love you Jaxyn Lee!

Groomsmen
Wyatt Hubbard- Brother of the bride.  Wyatt is in the 5th grade and loves basketball.  Ever since Wyatt was born we were best friends!  I loved to take him with me to the pool in the summer.  He always does his best to “protect” his big sisters.  When Jared and I started dating he would walk up to Jared, pound his fists together and say “if you ever hurt my sister I’m gonna beat you up!”  He was 5 years old then.  Thanks for being a great brother Wyatt!  I love you! Thanks for being in our wedding!

Other groomsmen- to be announced.

Our Proposal

Jared and I have been together for six and a half years!  We have known since we were together six months that we would be together forever.  It just took awhile to get engaged!  We met at a mutual friend’s house and were inseparable ever since.  In the beginning we took things very fast.  We moved in together when we only had dated for six months.  We talked about getting married very often throughout our entire relationship, but Jared waited to pop the question.  In 2005 we decided to get a puppy, Buster a male fawn pug.  He is so much fun to have around.  A couple of months later I decided to bring home another pug, Chewy a male black pug.  We have be a happy family of two people and two dogs since 2005!  In March of 2009 we decided to take a plunge and buy a house together.  We had so much fun looking for our perfect home.  We have spent many nights in our home entertaining family and friends for parties and holidays.  ‘When is he going to ask me to marry him’ was always a question wondering around in the back of my head (and at that point everyone else was wondering the same)!  Christmas Eve we have a gathering at our home with family to eat, enjoy each other’s company, and exchange gifts.  Jared and I ALWAYS exchange gifts on Christmas Eve.  Every time I asked him to open his gifts he would tell me, “No, we will do it on Christmas morning”.  Needless to say I went to bed a little disappointed that we didn’t exchange gifts because we always exchange Christmas Eve.  Before we went to sleep I told him I was going to wake up at 12:01am (since that is technically Christmas morning) and we are going to exchange gifts!  But that didn’t happen, I fell asleep.  When we woke up Christmas morning I was so excited to go open gifts.  Jared had been telling me for a couple weeks that my present was so big he couldn’t wrap it.  My mind was going crazy with what it could be!  I sat on the couch and put his gifts next to me.  I said, “You can open yours.  But first you have to go get my HUGE present.”   He had a smirk on his face and I couldn’t figure out why.  He stands up from the couch, walks up to the Christmas tree, puts his hand inside the tree and pulls out a little wrapped box.  I told him, “that’s not funny, where is my huge gift?”  Jared said, “Just open it.”  So I did, very slowly, cautiously and thinking the entire time what is in this box???  I thought, maybe a necklace, gift certificate?  When I opened the little white box, I could hardly believe it!  I started to cry.  Jared got down on one knee and asked, “Will you marry me?”  I was almost speechless, but of course I was able to say, “YES!”  After the initial shock I asked him a few times if this was for real, if he was serious.  I was so surprised, it is a great memory!  I asked him why he wanted to ask me on Christmas morning.  He told me, “My Grandpa asked my Grandma to marry him on Christmas morning.”  He is very thoughtful like that!  I am glad I can share a special day with his grandparents.
My next favorite part of our engagement story is telling all of our family members and friends.  The first person I called to tell was my Great-Grandmother, she is 91.  She couldn’t stop saying she was going to faint!  Her response was amazing; it made me so glad that she is so happy for us!  Another favorite of mine is Jared’s Great-Grandmother, she is also 91.  We visited her in the nursing home.  We didn’t tell her as soon as we walked in the door.  But as soon as Jared’s mom Tammy said, “Grandma look at what Jared got Ashley for Christmas.”  I held my hand so she could see my ring.  She took a long good stare at it, the expressions on her face as she was taking in what she was seeing was great!  She stated crying, and talking about how excited she was, you could hardly understand her.  It took quite awhile to get her calmed back down.  Telling our family and friends about our engagement was one of the best parts of the entire experience.  We are very lucky to have so many people in our lives that love us and support our marriage.  I can’t wait to become Mrs. Kral!  June 30, 2012 cannot come soon enough

About Us

The Bride
Hey everyone!  I will mainly be posting for the blog.  For those of you that may not know a lot about me here are a few little things.  I grew up in Elm Creek.  I have 2 sisters, Michaela and Whitney, 1 brother, Wyatt, and an adorable nephew Jaxyn.  I was involved in 4-H growing up.  I love cars, preferably old ones.  My fist car was a 66' Ford Mustang- I have it still to this day!  I also have a Mini Cooper.  I love hanging out with Jared as much as possible, even if I have to go ride in his big green tractor in Campbell!  I also love love love shoes and shopping, but what girl doesn't!

The Groom
Jared grew up in Campbell and graduated from Kearney High.  He loves to be outdoors and farming.  He has quite a collection of John Deere collectable toys.  He also likes to deer hunt.  This year he shot a 4x5 and a 4x4!  His dream is to someday move back to Campbell and farm full-time.  He spends a lot of time on his vehicles, usually owning 3 or more at a time.  I think he just loves having a different ride every now and then!
